Mrs McGillicutty is talking with Mr Nimm (or some such name) at our table this morning. There is talk like "my brother prefers to eat rhinocerous because the meat is nice and salty," which is countered with "My sister in Minneapolis prefers cat. She milks them. She says that the milk tastes like flowers."

I swear... the only person I know who can counter my father's BS thought for unusual thought... is dear Ember, my daughter. May they never grow weary of conversation. My morning coffee is much enhanced as I do my dishes and listen to the background BS. I stopped to write this and now I think that this Mrs. Abernathy (myself) is going to join in. Does my brother prefer elephant nipples or applefarts. Oh, god, I am not as good at this as they are. WISH ME LUCK!

Second Post

Hello All!
We have been having much success with our diet and think we are slimming down a bit (after only 10 days). Hoping we can turn SOUTHBEACH into a lifestyle change. Tim and I were saying recently that there is not much change from the way we have eaten in the past except for the carbs. Really miss the occasional Bear Claw...

Tim worked on the floor again yesterday laying tile (and hopefully some today) and we played board games with the kids as well as watching American Graffiti. It is the first day of Spring Break! We took them to Powell's for excellent behavior (they helped Tim with the floor) and Tim and I ate fat free sugar free chocolate peanuts (whatever!?).

Papa Joe comes for a visit this week and will join Alex and Tim and kids from Alex's youth group on a Kayak trip in Monterrey Thurs to Friday. They sleep on a church floor. Shen and Joanne, remember those trips?
